Ten Tried and Tested Photo Sharing websites  

I have sourced these websites for you to be able to showcase your work, why shouldn't you its your creativity? Its no good sat on your hard drive at home it needs to be out there getting praised, shared or even better sold. I have not listed the sites below in any poticualr order as I think they are all great in their own unique kind of way.  

This website is truly an inspiration and was born for the creative mind. This site allows you to showcase your work to thousands if not millions of people. It has only the very best of pictures so only upload the images are really proud of. This site allows you to sell your work in a number of different formats including Canvas and as framed prints to name a few. Red Bubble also gives you the chance to create calendars and T-shirts. If photography is not your thing then Red Bubble has a facility for creative writers and poets to showcase their work to the masses - in a nut shell this site is the best on the web apart from Yola.com of course 

If you have an email account with Yahoo then you automatically have a log in for Flickr. It is another great free photo sharing site that allows you to manage your images and also create a great profile that your friends can find and leave comments. You can also sell your work through Flickr as prints, cards, Photo-books and much more 

This is a great piece of software that allows you to easily manage your files and also give them a bit of an edit should they need it. You do need to download the software from Google so it maybe be worth reading about it further on the Picasa site to makes sure its what you want. The software also allows you to send your images via email very easily. Its simple, effective, FREE and well worth a look.  

Very much like Flickr this comprehensive Photo sharing site is easy to use, welcoming and packed full of other enthusiasts. It Allows you you to find and also make new friends a definite must for photographers. 

DPhoto allows you to create your very own online gallery without any branding or unwanted adverts. However this is not a free service. It is professional and a great way for you to keep a back up of your images outside of your home. 

Photobucket is the premier site on the Internet for uploading and sharing your images mainly because it has been around for a while. You can upload videos as well as graphics and is completely FREE and easy to use - What are you waiting for.... ? 

This site is great for creating a 'space' to suit you. My Space has many interesting facilities which does include a gallery that you can upload your pics to. Your friends and other users can see them and leave comments should they want to. Myspace is a social networking site but it offers much more than just communication.  

 

 

Smugmug is not a free service but it is well worth it, you get to upload you images and theme your albums. Smugmug also allows you to upload in RAW which many other photo sharing sites do not. Its very easy to use and very well populated with many professional photographers. It is family run and because of this they take great pride in their work and the development of the site.
